Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Standly is a digital sheet music library and viewer for Windows. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. In short: Standly works entirely on your device and does not transmit your files, your library, or any usage data to us or to any third party.
What the app accesses
Standly reads PDF and image files from folders that you explicitly add to your library. It builds a local catalog of file metadata — file names, paths, sizes, and content hashes — and stores your annotations (such as markings and notes) in a local database. The app accesses files only within the folders you have chosen; it does not scan or read the file system for any other purpose.
Where your data is stored
All application data — the catalog database, settings, and diagnostic logs
— is stored locally on your device under
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Standly.
Your original music files remain in your own folders and are never modified. None
of this data is uploaded to us or to any external service.
Diagnostic logs
Standly writes diagnostic logs (errors and crash details) to
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Standly\logs.
These logs stay on your device and are never transmitted by the app. They exist to
help you or support troubleshoot problems.
Information collected automatically by Windows
Because Standly is distributed through the Microsoft Store as a packaged app, Windows and the Store may automatically send crash and reliability reports to Microsoft. This is standard platform behavior provided by Windows, not data collected by Standly's own code. Such reports are governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Standly itself sends no telemetry, analytics, or usage data, and never transmits your files or library contents.
Your controls
You can add or remove library folders at any time from within the app. Uninstalling Standly removes the local catalog database, settings, and logs. Your original music files are unaffected by uninstalling.
Sharing with third parties
Standly does not share any of your data with third parties. The only data leaving your device is the automatic Windows/Store crash reporting described above, which goes to Microsoft as a platform function.
Children's privacy
Standly does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
